The book that I'm currently reading is cirque du freak the vampire book. It a a great book. It always keeps you at the edge of your seat. Right now Darren (the main character) is trying to fight through the pain and get back to vampire mountain to warn the vampires that the vampinize is on the lose in the castle. Darren and his two friends (gavener paul, and kurda) recently discovered this when they were trying to find a new route out of which mountain, because Darren was accused of cheating surfing one of the trials. In the vampire race cheating is dealt with by death, and after Darren found out that that was how they deal with cheating (even if you did not it still looks like cheating to the audience so they get rid of them by death) he thought it was time to go.
In vampire mountain there are a bunch of underground tunnels (some known about some not known) and Kurda is a map maker so tunnels is easy to him. So he was the one that inspired Darren to leave cause he offerd to show him the directions. They got no more then half way through the tunnels until Darren had to stop. The trials that he withstood in the past 2 weeks really put a bruising on him. As they stopped and took a breather they herd someone coming. They got prepared for battle (we at least Kurda did. Darren was in no shape to fight) and as the unknown person turns the cornet they lower their guard, because it was one of their friends (gavner Paul)
They wondered how he found them but once they foundout that it was because he followed the blood drops from Darren they figured it would be a good thing to rap Darrens wounds in cloth so the vampire search party won't find them. Gavner Paul agreed to go as long as Darren did not bring his good name through the mud if he gets caught.
After getting caught in a dead end they start to hear people laughing and talking. They look to see who it is and it turns out it was the vampinize. I can't wait to find out what happens next.....
